Firetoys Mini Aerial Hoop - 50cm

This highly portable (and adorable) little Aerial Hoop offers a new world of fun opportunities to create new routines!

If you're a beginner or an expert and don't have enough height to hang a full-size Aerial Hoop, then the Mini Hoop is perfect for grip strength training and conditioning.

Flexible folk looking for a fun new challenge will enjoy adapting moves to work in the smaller space. The unique challenge offered by the Mini Aerial Hoop will inspire you to create something new and think about the moves you know in a fresh way.

 You can even rig a 1-Point Aerial Hoop below or above the Mini Aerial hoop!

This is the smallest Aerial Hoop we offer, and our usual size guide is not applicable. 

Our Aerial Hoops are measured from the outside diameter.

The Mini Aerial Hoop is not for kids or smaller people, and it's not the Hoop you get because it's the right size for you. The fact that it's not the "right size" is what makes it so fun!

You can choke a Polyester Strop or Aerial PolySafe Rope directly to the bar. Attaching soft rigging directly to the hoop is good for reducing metal on metal wear and removes hardware from where you will hock on.

If you are using the hoop bare (un-taped), you will need to put tape directly under the Strop/PolySafe Rope to prevent the bar from slipping.

You can use a Prodigy Aerial Sling in some circumstances, but we don't recommend this for long-term rigging. You could use these in a performance if you need rigging, which is less visible to the audience.

If you do not want the Aerial Hoop to spin, you need to connect your strop/rope to your anchor point with a carabiner. We recommend this when you want to keep a hoop rigged from one point facing an audience. We also recommend this if you don’t have much height.

If you want the Aerial Hoop to spin, you need a carabiner at the top of the rope/strop, which can be connected to a swivel and then another carabiner secured to your anchor point.

Aside from a rigging point, there are optional accessories and essential rigging gear. What you need for each type of Aerial Hoop varies. If you have any questions, we are happy to help. We recommend items like tape, grip aids, hand loop straps, and this fantastic book.

Made from 1” diameter 10G tubing (25.4mm with 3.2mm wall). TIG-welded with mild steel filler rod, root and then cap welds done on the top and bottom joining welds. The top weld has a solid mild steel insert to back the weld.

Powder-coated with a matte black finish, which not only looks great but protects the steel from rust and is easy to wipe clean. Ready to use with or without tape.

Everything above assumes you have a suitable and safe rigging point, like a professionally installed rigging point or a reputable and rated freestanding rig. Not every home/studio will be the same, so we cannot advise on this part. If you haven’t established a safe rigging point, please do this first with the help of a structural engineer/experienced rigger/professional familiar with what you're hanging and where you're hanging it.
